Ongoing Rosary Crusade for the Coronavirus Crisis
There will be an ongoing Rosary Crusade for all those affected by COVID-19 and the end of the coronavirus crisis. All Knights and their families are encouraged to pray the Rosary daily. There is currently a daily rosary said on Facebook Live every morning by Brothers Dominick Yeo and Donovan Roudabush. Fr. Ray Sacca will also be hosting a live Rosary this month, details to be announced. Our Facebook page can be found at:
Fr. Ray thanks the Knights for stepping up to assist and support everyone. When the parish opens, the Knights will be called upon to help with ushering to ensure regulations are followed. It may be an incremental opening but had no timeline has yet been announced. The Parish staff is meeting weekly and has met with the Pastoral and Financial Councils to ensure we are ready to meet the challenges. The USCCB has given recommendations to the Bishops on how to prepare hygiene/sanitation for the celebration of the mass. Up to the Bishops to determine which recommendations to follow.
Income has fallen for the Parish and we have cut expenses, but people have been generous. GK Mike Harkleroad presented to Fr. Ray the check from Gianni’s restaurant in the amount of $1,352. This was from our April 20 fundraising dinner.
The Family of the Month Award Goes to Vic and Grace David
This award goes to Vic and Grace David for their support of Seminarians and the 40 Days for Life. They have been very generous with their time, talent, and treasure in ensuring the right to life for all and assisting the effort in supporting the continuance of our Church.
The Family of the Month Award Goes to Richard Sweeney
Richard Sweeney has put in much of his time to work as our Treasurer. This year has not been easy because of the loss of revenue due to COVID-19. Richard will be stepping down at the end of this Columbian year. We thank you for your dedication and service!
